Psychology defines our understanding of our human emotions and behaviors.

The role of psychotherapy, is to assist persons in re-directing fears of negative emotional thinking, which lead to negative behaviors and low sense-of-self. The process of emotional healing enhances and promotes the individual well-being. I will structure and monitor individual goals and treatment to include collaboration with other health professionals, if needed.

I will assess your individual need and behavior, applying the most positive approaches. Positive Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused, Emotional Focused and eclectic models. I will provide direction on overcoming depressive symptoms, anxiety, risky behaviors an social / interpersonal fears.

Emotional Healing is Possible

The Soul is Strong. The Path to Emotional Wisdom is Emotional Freedom. You have made it here. There are times, when the inner-self will get lost onto the intense road of external life. Find ways of externalizing emotional creativity through creative expression and expressive arts, leading back home to your authentic self. Remember, that you are now in the present. The past events are gone. You have learned during times that have past and now, you respond differently. Different people; different times, years, months, hours, moment to moment making the journey. Heal your present; honor you the past in awareness and in the road to wisdom. When we think of a past event, we are actually remembering the last time we thought of the event, not the event itself. You are your past. Your past is your knowledge. Express the emotions attached to those past events, then compartmentalize those emotions and come back to the present.

The Power of Creativity

The purpose of creative expression, is to recover those emotions which take part of contacting the totality of one’s internal- self. Creative expression does not remove pain. It mirrors back the authentic, emotional flow of internal energy onto a canvas throwing back imagery, assisting the inner creative space from our mind and the soul. It is a step towards emotional freedom and the path to cultivate emotional wisdom, where there is no right and no wrong. Emotional reflection onto canvas, writing, drawing, dancing, singing, teaching, and love, is often a revisitation of a memory. Honor your past. We don’t want to run from memory as we will run from ourselves. Our past is your knowledge. Stay aware of differences between an intention and an expectation. Creative freedom is an intention, not an expectation.
